Abstract

Twenty new O, O-diaryl O-n-propyl phosphorothionates were tested in vitro for nematicidal activity against Rotylenchlus reniformis. Several compounds of this series exhibited potential nematicidal activity, highest being shown by O, O-Di (4-methylphenyl) O-n-propyl phosphorothionate and O, O-Di (4-chloro-3-methylphenyl) O-n-propyl phosphorothionate. LC50 was 11.0 μg/ml for both these new molecules as compared to 33.0 for triazophos, a standard nematicide.

Keywords
