Abstract

It was observed that zinc (zinc sulphate) in combination with NPK @ 60:30:30 (F3) and 120:60:60 kg/ha (F4) resulted in reduction of 32.9 and 26.1% in silver shoot (SS) incidence, respectively as compared to corresponding NPK doses alone (F1 & F2) irrespective of varieties and insecticide. Triazophos as a foliar spray was more efficacious on Surendra (2.7%) than susceptible cv. Jaya (3.5% SS) in reducng the SS incidence. Triazophos application in the test crop fertilized with nutrient level 60:30:30 kg NPK/ha with zinc sulphate (F3) significantly restricted SS incidence to a minimum level (2.3% SS) than any other treatment combination regardless of varieties.
