Abstract

The population decreased significantly by IGRs treatment as compared to control and was on par with monocrotophos. But 7 and 10 day after first spray, the population further declined and it was even lower than the monocrotophos. But the larval population increased with recorded 24 day after first spray. The larval population was effectively suppressed after 3, 7 and 10 days of second spray. Diflubenzuron @ 600 g/ha was most effective treatments in suppressing these defoliators population followed by 400 g/ha and 800 ml/ha of lufenuron.
