Abstract

Efficacy of six plant products, two mulchings and two insecticides was evaluated in the field for the management of tomato leaf curl virus disease and its vector Bemisia tabaci. Least incidence of the leaf curl disease was found in perforated polythene sheet covering (PC) and in polythene mulch (PM) treatment as compared to other treatments. Spraying with neem seed kernel extracts and leaf extract of Pinus, Thuja, Araucaria, Cupressus and Cycas proved effective in reducing the disease incidence, whitefly population and also in increasing the yield.
