Higher residues were found in leaves as compared to pods. The dissipation of cypermethrin and malathion was faster than dimethoate and methyl demeton. The initial deposits of cypermethrin, dimethoate, malathion and methyl demeton on rapeseed leaves and pods (in brackets) were 2.79 (1.69), 7.40 (2.63), 13.84 (4.04) and 3.90 (0.82) mg/kg, respectively. Almost all the residues of cypermethrin and malathion in leaves and pods dissipated on 7th day, however, 97% residues of dimethoate and methyl demeton in leaves dissipated on 15th day.
