Abstract

Biology of paddy leaf mite, Oligonychus oryzae was carried out under laboratory conditions. The study was conducted during kharif season (June to November). It indicated the egg, larval, protonymphal and deutonymphal periods were 4.70±1.09, 1.89±0.30, 1.89±0.18, 2.09±0.24 and 5.90±1.12, 2.23±0.36, 2.27±0.26, 2.42±0.28 for male and female, respectively. The total developmental period lasted for 10.58±1.50 and 12.64±1.57 days for male and female, respectively.
