Abstract

Avoidable yield loss due to reniform nematode, Rotylenchulus reniformis on sunflower for two years revealed significant reduction of yield due to nematode was calculated to be 48.7 and 40.8% in 2002–2003 and 2003–2004 crops season, respectively. The C:B ratio was 1:2.82 and 1:3.11 in two years, respectively. Similarly, groundnut crop was protected with carbofuran 3 G. @ 3 kg a.i./ha and enhanced the yeild of groundnut and significantly decreased the nematode population under field conditions. Avoidable yield loss was 37.7% and C:B ratio was found to be 1:2.73 when the groundnut was sold @ Rs. 20/kg.
