Abstract

A study was conducted in 2002 and 2003 to assess the avoidable yield loss of cowpea cv. Local due to Rotylenchulus reniformis in an established sick plot with the application of carbofuran 3G @ 2 kg a.i. ha−1 increased the green pod yield of cowpea by 10.5–14.5% with significant reduction in egg-mass index and nematode population.
