Abstract

All the insecticidal treatments significantly reduced the incidence of bollworms on square, green boll and open boll basis and increased seed cotton yield over untreated control. Emamectin benzoate 5 SG @ 11 g a.i./ha proved most effective treatment, both as protection and production wise by recording lowest infestation of bolworms on square basis (10.1 & 9.2%), green bolll basis (8.2 & 7.4%) and open boll basis (4.5 & 4.6%) and had the highest seed cotton yield (1565 & 1645 kg/ha) followed by spinosad 45 SC @ 75 g a.i./ha and indoxacarb 14.5 SC @ 75 g a.i./ha without significant margins.
