Abstract

Among soil types laterite soil was found best for maximum number of propagules of Trichoderma spp. followed by loamy soil. Amongst carbon sources, fructose gave maximum radial mycelial growth in addition to maximum mycelial dry weight. Whereas, maximum sporulation was observed in dextrose. Significant increase in radial mycelial growth and mycelial dry weight was recorded in ammonium nitrate when tested for nitrogen requirement followed by sodium nitrate but, sporulation was more in ammonium sulphate.
