The examination of sectioned and stained root material of Pterocarpus marsupium and P. santalinus revealed that Hoplolaimus seinhorsti acted not only as ectoparasite but also as semi-endoparasite and endoparasite. Most often when observed on stained roots of P. santalinus, the nematode fed semi-endoparasitically whereas in case of P. marsupium, the nematode acted mostly as endoparasitics causing collapsed and deformed cell in cortex and forming cavities.
