Abstract

Efficacy of some bio-pesticides and chemical insecticides viz. Beauveria bassiana, Bacillus thuringiensis, Nimbecidine, Beauveria bassiana 2 kg/ha + endosulfan 1.0 lit/ha, NPV @ 250 LE/ha + endosulfan 1.5 lit/ha, B.t. @ 1.0 kg/ha + endosulfan @ 1.5 lit/ha and endosulfan @ 1.5 lit/ha + monocrotophos @ 1.0 lit/ha against okra fruit and shoot borer, Earias vittella and Helicoverpa armigera indicated that endosulfan @ 1.5 lit/ha + monocrotophos @ 1.0 lit/ha and NPV @ 250 LE/ha + endosulfan @ 1.0 lit/ha, were found most effective in managing both borer pests and gave significantly higher yield of marketable okra fruits.
