Abstract

Significantly the lowest number of egg mass (1 egg mass/plant) and the lowest % of dead heart and white ear were recorded in plants applied with co-its + 25:25:25 kg NPK ha−1. Among the different treatments tested, significantly lowest number of adult emerged (0.5 number/plant) was from co-its + 25:25:25 kg NPK ha−1 treated plants. The total developmental period of stem borer was significantly prolonged in all the treatments which received Azospirillum brasilense + VAM co-inoculants along with organic and varying levels of NPK fertilizers (46.5 to 41.14 days). Crude silica, phosphorus and potassium content was significantly different due to interaction of co-its, organic and inorganic fertilizers.
