Abstract

The results in relation to the efficacy of seed treating chemicals revealed that imidacloprid 10ml/kg, 7ml/kg; chlorpyriphos 10ml/kg and endosulfan 10ml/kg seed resulted in significantly lower plant damage and higher grain yield over untreated control. Imidacloprid @ 10ml/kg seed fetched the maximum return (Rs.6352/ha) followed by imidacloprid 7ml/kg (Rs.5662/ha), chlorpyriphos 10ml/kg seed (Rs.5534/ha) and endosulfan 10ml/kg seed (Rs.4596/ha).
