Seasonal history of Hettcoverpa armigera (Hubner) on cultivars under Agro-climatic conditions

Abstract

Study on seasonal history of Helicoverpa armigera showed larval incidence on various cultivars viz; pigeon pea (42–15 standard weeks), Chick pea (44–13 SW), berseem (48–16 SW), desi pea (3–12 SW). linseed (8–13 sw), wheat (7–11 SW), bankla (5–9 SW), carrot (11–15 SW), gobhi sarson (11–15 SW), coriander (13–14 SW), potato sprouts, (13–14 SW), Moongbean (13–17 SW), tomato (9–23 SW), okra (19–27 SW), maize (34–37 SW) and sorghum (37–42 SW) during 2006–2007, the larval appearance were also observed on various crops in the same locality viz, pigeon pea (44–14 SW), chick pea (44–12 SW), berseem (48–14 SW), desi pea (4–11 SW), linseed (7–12 SW), bakla (4–8 SW), carrot (10–14 SW), gobhisarson (10–13 SW), potato sprouts (12–13 SW), tomato (9–23 SW), moongbean (12–16 SW), Okra (19–26 SW), maize (34–37 SW) and sorghum (37–42 SW) during subsequent year 2007–2008.
