Evaluation of IPM modules for effective management of Helicoverpa armigera in Chick pea

Trials on efficacy of five IPM modules for the management of Helicoverpa armigera in chick pea were conducted on twenty farmer's fields during rabi 2006–2007 and 2007–2008. On the basis of evaluation, it was found that the population of Helicoverpa armigera was reduced significantly in module-5, where two sprayings of endosulfan 0.07% followed by M₃>M₂>M₄>M₁ in decreasing order. The highest seed yield and cost benefit ratio (24.71 q/ha, 1:5.27) was found in M₅ followed by M₃, M₂ M₄ and M₁ during both the years.
