Fruits of aonla (Phyllanthus emblica) are immensely valued due to their therapeutic potential and culinary usage and are extremely vulnerable to Penicillium funiculosum rot that results in complete fruit loss within 3–4 days of infection. Therefore, an attempt was undertaken for the management of P. funiculosum rot by using rhizome extract of Zingiber officinale and Curcuma longa and bulb extract of Allium sativum and A. cepa. Maximum control (90.2%) of P. funiculosum rot of aonla was achieved by using aqueous extract (100%) of garlic bulbs. However, all the test extracts proved effective in exerting some control and thus, improving the longevity of aonla fruits.
