Abstract

Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. lentis is a seed borne disease which caused vascular wilt of lentil. The pathogen was diagnosed by various methods namely seed washing test, standard blotter method and agar plate method. The location of pathogen was found in all part of seed viz. seed coat, cotyledon embryonal axis in all susceptible varieties of lentil. However, maximum presence of pathogen was found on seed coat followed by cotyledon and embryonic cell of seed. The maximum % of infection was found in the variety Sehore-74-3 with the value of 20% seed infection. The pathogen survived in seed of all susceptible varieties for 9 to 13 months and maximum survival was found in variety DPL-75 for 13 months.
