Abstract

Twenty one new O, O-diaryl O-ethyl phosphorothionates having different substituents in the phenyl ring were tested in vitro for nematicidal activity against preadult of Rotylenchulus reniformis. Several compounds of this series exhibited potential nematicidal activity, highest being shown by O, O-diphenyl O-ethyl phosphorothionate (LC50=25 (μg/ml). Its nematicidal activity was found comparable to that of trazophos (LC50=27 μg/ml), a standard nematicide.
