On the basis of colony growth, two isolates were fast growing (> 9.0 mm/ day), five were growing exhibited 6.0- 9.0 mm/day and five were slow growing (< 6.0 mm/ day) growth on PDA. Seven isolates showed appressed and five isolates exhibited fluffy type of growth. Five isolates expressed creamy white mycelia colour and three isolates showed white colour. However, five isolates showed dark purple to light purple colour mycelium. On the basis of plant incidence and disease reaction of chick pea genotypes isolates C1 and D1 were highly virulent than rest of the isolates under study. The genotypes C-235 was found resistant against all the isolates except C1 which showed moderately resistant disease reaction.
