Bio-Effectiveness of Neem Products Against Mustard Aphid, Lipaphis Erysimi (Kalt.) in Mustard Crop

Significantly reduction in aphid population (17.8 – 64.6 aphid/plant) was observed in Neem Seed Kernel (NSK) benzene extract (0.1%), NSK chloroform extract (0.1%), NSK acetone extract (0.1%), NSK methanol extract (0.1%), NSK butanol extract (0.1%), NSK hot water extract (5%), NSK cold water extract (5%), neem oil (2%), azadirachtin 1500 ppm (0.1%) over the control (160.6 aphid/plant). However, among the treatments significantly high aphid control and mustard yield was observed in neem seed kernel (NSK) cold water extract (5%), NSK hot water extract (5%), neem oil (2%) and azadirachtin 1500 ppm (0.1%) over the other treatments including control. All treatments were found safer to the natural enemies of mustard aphid and honeybee pollinator.
