Field investigations were carried out to study the reaction of 38 + 2 cotton genotypes against leafhopper, Amrasca devastans of which 13 entries were found promising. These 13 entries were again subjected to screening under natural conditions in advanced study in kharif season and phenol content was estimated. Three entries H-1316, GISV-216 and CPD 1019 were found resistant.
