The cost benefit ratio of different synthetic insecticdes on cabbage in a descending order was: cartap hydrochloride (0.05%)> endosulfan (0.07%)> lambda cyhalothrin (0.01%) > imidacloprid (0.01%)ethofenprox (0.01%). but Cartap hydroclhoride gave highest ratio. Among neem formulations this ratio in a descending order was: neemazal (50000 ppm) > neemgold (1500 ppm) > nimbecidine (300ppm), thus neemazal proved most effective.
