Abstract

Laboratory studies showed that lufenuron 0.005% and methofenozide 0.04% recorded highest mortality, less leaf area consumed and larval weight gained. Field trials for two seasons against H.armigera resulted that lufenuron 0.005% and methofenozide 0.04% effectively controlled pod borer. These IGRs can be deployed as potential alternatives to conventional chemical insecticides for management of H.armigera in tobacco.
