Abstract

Pseudomonas fluorescens (Pf 1) @ 12.5g was recorded significantly less feeding area, low larval weight and also higher antifeedant index followed by P. fluorescens (Pf 1) @ 10g and 7.5g compared to untreated check at 24 hrs after treatment. Higher doses of P. fluorescens (Pf 1) foliar spray @ 12.5g and 10g were recorded higher activity of biochemical compound like phenol, peroxidase and phenylalanime ammonia lyase at 15, 25 and 40 days after spraying which was responsible to deter larvae from feeding. Under field evaluation, foliar spray ofP. fluorescens at 7.5g and above recorded significantly low leaf folder damage with higher yield. Higher natural enemy population such as spiders and coccinellids were recorded at lower doses of P. fluorescens (Pf 1) treated plots.
