A package of treatments comprising sprays of difentheuron (Pegasus 50 WP @ 1 g/L) followed with acetamiprid (Ekka 20 SP @ 1 g/L) at 10 days interval 30 days after transplanting (DAT) of the crop, was found to be superior over all other packages in terms of significantly lower thrips population count (1.87/leaf) and the highest percentage reduction (67.9%) of curly leaves with significantly higher yield (15.28 q/ha) over untreated control. The curling of leaves and reduction in population of thrips were correlated with the crop yield, and benefit cost analysis also showed the highest B:C ratio of 1:9.10.
