All the insecticides tested were superior to untreated check by recording lower population of sucking pests. Among the insecticides tested, acetamiprid 25 SP @ 0.2g/L was effective against aphids, fipronil 5 SC @ 2ml/L and acephate 75 SP @ 1.5g/L were found to be effective against thrips. In case of leafhoppers, fipronil 5 SC @ 2ml/L and imidacloprid 17.8 SL @ 0.4ml/L were found to be promising. Whereas thiamethoxam 5 SG @ 0.2g/L was effective on whiteflies. Increase in plant height was observed in all insecticidal treated plots compared to untreated control.
