Abstract

The studies revealed maximum mean per cent reduction of white fly with acephate 75SP (76.7%) and ethion 20EC (73.2%) and these were statistically on par and significantly superior over endosulfan 35EC (0.1%), monocrotophos 36SL (0.05%), carbosulfan 25EC (0.1%), imidacloprid 200SL (0.05%) and acetamprid 20EC (0.005%) after 15 and 30 days of sprays. Highest yield of 609.33q/ha was recorded with acephate followed by ethion, acetamprid, imidacloprid and endosulfan and these were statistically on par and significantly superior over rest of the treatments. The net return per unit cost was highest with acephate 75 SP followed by ethion 20EC. The average purity level, total solids and sucrose content was also higher with acephate 75SP and ethion 20EC.
