Abstract

All the treatments proved effective in reducing mean larval population (3.23–6.99 and 4.03–6.66 larvae/metre row length (MRL) as against untreated control 11.31 and 13.60 larvae/MRL, after first and second spraying, respectively. Mean pod damage in different treatments was observed to the tune of 5.3 – 28.7% against 35.7% in untreated control and weight loss of 2.4–14.3% against 21.9% in control. The grain yield was significantly higher in various treatments (7.85–12.13 q/ha) over control (6.93 q/ha).
