Among 31 essential oils, Xylosma longifolia oil extract was found to have the most inhibitory effect, egg hatching and larval mortality on followed by Acorus calamus and Vitex negundo extracts within 12 hrs of exposing period in X.longifolia at 10%. Egg hatching rate was found inversely proportional with concentration and directly with the exposure periods. Whereas mortality rate was directly proportional with concentration of extracts as well as exposure periods.
