Abstract

An eco-friendly management strategy for this disease, Eucalyptus globules and Pseudomonas fluorescens were tested individually and in combination against Sarocladium oryzae under pot culture conditions. Among the various treatments tested, the plants treated with combination of P.fluorescens (seed treatment @ 10g/kg and foliar spray @1.0kg/ha) and foliar spray with E. globules extract @ 10% conc. recorded minimum sheath rot disease incidence and maximum biometrics of rice. Also the same treatment recorded induction of higher levels of defense enzymes and PR proteins confirming the role of ISR in the disease suppression.
