Compatibility of Beauveria bassiana (Balsamo) Vuillemin with chemicals and bio-pesticides

In the present study, compatibility of Beauveria bassiana was tested against five insecticides (endosulfan, lufennuron, diflubenzuron, dimethoate & oxydemeton methyl), ten fungicides (carbendazim, tridemorph, hexaconazole, thiophanate-methyl, carboxin, propiconazole, mancozeb, baleytan, bitertanol & propineb), fungal antagonist (Trichoderma harzianum PBAT-43) and bacterial antagonist (Pseudomonas fluorescens PBAP-27) oxydemeton methyl (ED₅₀ 452.5 μg ml⁻¹) was most compatible insecticide. However, propineb (ED₅₀ 65 μg ml⁻¹) was most compatible fungicide. Fungal and bacterial antagonists were not compatible with B. bassiana. Compatibility of two entomopathogenic fungi namely, Pochonia lecanii and Metarhizium anisopali along with B. bassiana was also tested against T. harzianum PBAT-43.
