Abstract

Trichoderma spp. (T. harzianum & T. viride) and Pseudomonas fluorescens, were evaluated (alone & in combination) under pot condition for efficacy in suppressing Rhizoctonia root rot and promoting plant growth in chilli. The combination of T. harzianum + P. fluorescens were found to be on par with T. harzianum + T. viride, was most effective in reducing disease incidence, 55% more efficient than control, but was on par with copper oxychlorode @0.3%. Highest plant height was recorded in T. harzianum + T. viride (31.45 cm) followed by T. harzianum + P. fluorescens (30 cm), T. harzianum (21.60 cm) but was on par with T. viride (20.41 cm) when applied alone significantly increased plant height and was superior to P. fluorescens (19.18 cm) applied individually.
