Abstract

The large scale field demonstrations were conducted in different locations to explore the feasibility of employing pheromone mass trapping technique for leaf miner management in groundnut. The delta sticky traps were installed @ 20/ha within 10–15 days of emergence of groundnut crop.Significant differences were recorded in the incidence of leaf miner in terms of damage in the fields of pheromone mass trapping and farmers practice method. The farmers of project operating villages saved an amount of 942/ha compared to non-project farmers and higher yield of 148 kg/ha with net returns of 5970/ha than non-project farmers.
