Study indicated that the treatments comprising carbendazim (0.1%), carbendazim + mancozeb (0.2%) and potassium metabisulphite (0.05%) in 50°C hot water for 10 minutes were found most effective in controlling post harvest rot of Alphonso Mango, followed by other treatments viz., tricyclazole (0.1%), thiophanate methyl (0.1%), propineb (0.2%) in hot water for 10 minutes and hot water alone at 50°C for 15 minutes as well as 55°C for 10 minutes were also found effective. Similarly, the fruit dip treatment of Trichoderma viride (SS & CF) for 10 minutes was found most effective in controlling post harvest rots of mango. Whereas the extracts of garlic (10%) and tulsi (20%) for 10 minutes were most effective in controlling ripening rots of Alphonso fruits.
