Isolates of Trichoderma harzianum (Sardar krushi Nagar) and T. viride (Sardar krushi Nagar) being a native isolates appeared as potential antagonists against groundnut stem rot pathogen. The phyto-extract of vilayati babul (Prosopis julifora) proved highly inhibitory to Sclerotium rolfsii followed by Cactus (Agave americana) and 6 different organic extracts (mustard, groundnut, neem, castor, cotton cakes & FYM) were evaluated and results revealed that all the extracts significantly inhibited the growth of Sclerotium rolfsii in vitro except FYM. Among all the organic extracts, castor cake recorded significant cent per cent inhibition of growth and sclerotial production of S. rolfsii at both the concentrations (10 & 20%). Also cent per cent inhibition of growth and sclerotial production was recorded in neem, groundnut and cotton cakes at 20% concentration.
Arachis hypogaea, Bioagents, Sclerotium rolfsii
