Abstract

An experiment was carried out to investigate the toxicity of some acaricides to predatory mite, Amblyseius longispinosus both under laboratory and polyhouse conditions on tomato. Under the laboratory condition, diafenthiuron was comparative less toxic as it showed lower mortality for longer period after treatment (2.7%), while wettable sulphur and triazophos were more toxic as they gave 100% mortality within 6 hours after treatment. In polyhouse, it was found that triazophos was highly toxic to predatory mite with 67.9% mortality while diafenthiuron was found least toxic to the predatory mite with least % mortality i.e. 9.6%.
