Abstract

The study revealed that the picking of larvae + profenophos 50 EC @ 0.5% > HaNPV @ 250 LE/ha (0.13, 0.13 and 0.07 larvae/plant at one, three and seven days after spray, respectively) was found to be most effective treatment for reducing larval population of Helicoverpa armigera and for reducing % pod damage (20.1%) and grain damage (7.1%) caused by H. armigera. Significantly maximum grain yield (1327.33 kg/ha) was recorded over control (889 kg/ha) and highest incremental cost benefit ratio (1: 5.13) was attained by profenophos 50 EC @ 0.5% and dimethoate 30 EC @ 0.03% which was followed by picking of larvae + Ha NPV 250 LE (1: 4.84), respectively.
