Abstract

All the plant tested showed significant effect of leaf extracts at 40 and 60% concentrations on seed germination and damping-off disease incidence against Pythium aphanidermatum as compared to control and check (carbendazim 0.2%). Various botanicals exhibited stimulatory action with regards to seed germination when compared to the control. Among the leaf extracts, maximum effect was attained by Azadirachta indica, similarly, seed treatment with A. indica showed highest germination, lowest damping-off disease incidence of Pythium aphanidermatum.
