The results showed that all the seven insecticides performed well in reduction of larval population and increase in chick pea yield. Spinosad, chlorpyrifos and quinalphos were found superior over all the treatments after first and second spray, respectively. Malathion was found as least effective insecticide against gram pod borer. The highest yield was registered in spinosad 45 SC about 19.25 q/ha which were followed by chlorpyrifos 20 EC 16.45 q/ha and quinalphos 14.30q/ha compared to 5.25 q/ha yield in untreated check.
