Jatropha cake (Jatropha curcas), simarouba cake (Simarouba glauca), neem cake (Azadirachta indica), mustard cake (Brassica rapa), karanja cake (Pongamia pinnata) each at two doses @ 100g/pot and 150g/pot were incorporated. Carbofuran @ 0.3g a.i./pot was applied as standard check. From the results, it was evident that all treatments exhibited increased plant growth parameters and declined root knot nematode population over check. However, among various treatments, jatropha oil cake @ 1.5 t/ha was most effective organic amendment performing better than others contributing significantly increase in plant height by 72.8%, fresh shoot weight by 73.3%, fresh root weight by 84.9%, dry shoot weight by 80.0%, dry root weight by 87.6% and biomass yield by 80.8%, respectively with corresponding decrease in order of number of root galls by 86.0%, number of egg masses by 87.3% and root knot nematode population by 87.3% over check.
