Abstract

A field trial was conducted with individual and combined modules for management of root knot nematode, Meloidogyne incognita infecting mung bean (cv. Dhauli). Among the individual management modules, soil application of carbofuran 3G @ 1.5 kg ai/ha and sole crop of mustard (cv. ORTM-72) were effective in significantly increasing various growth and yield parameters and reducing the soil population. Combined application of seed treatment with carbosulfan + T. harzianum significantly increased plant growth and yield over check but not the nematode population in the soil. Seed treatment with T. harzianum + soil application of neem cake enhanced plant growth, reduced soil population with increased yield. Soil application of carbofuran + seed treatment with T. harzianum was effective in significantly increasing plant growth, yield and reducing population in soil.
