All the treatments increased the plant growth parameters and reduced root knot nematode infection over check. The combined application of vermicompost @ 50.0g/kg along with neem cake @ 1.5 g/kg performed the best by increasing the shoot and root length (86.1 & 82.3%), fresh shoot and root weight (50.2 & 79.4%), dry shoot and root weight (71.6 & 62.5%) and fruit weight (70.4%) significantly with corresponding decrease in root galls (78.9%) and final root knot nematode population in soil (79.5%) over untreated check followed by combined application of vermicompost @ 25.0 g/kg with neem cake @ 1.5 g/kg.
