Abstract

Based on pod infestation and % reduction of pod infestation, foliar spray of malathion 50 EC @ 500 ml/500 lit. of water/ha was found most effective with highest yield (17.38 q/ha.) and cost benefit ratio (1: 26.20) followed by quinalphos 1.5% dust @10 kg/ha. with yield (16.27q/ha.) and cost benefit ratio (1: 17.86). The efficacy of different treatments was melathion 50 EC @ 500 ml > quinalphos 25 EC @ 500 ml > quinalphos 1.5% dust @ 10 kg/ha > fenvelerate 4% dust @ 10 kg/ha > thiamethoxam 25 WG @ 7g/kg > imidaclorprid 48 FS @ 7 g/kg, respectively.
