All the fungicide reduced the growth of Alternaria lini. Pyraclostrobin was the best in inhibiting the mycelial growth followed by kitazin and carbendazim + mancozeb in vitro evaluation of fungicides on germination of A. lini spores Pyraclostrobin at 800 ppm and cabendazim + mancozeb was found highly toxic at 400 ppm concentration. In field trial chemical control measures revealed that all five tested fungicides significantly reduced the disease intensity and increased yield over control. Pyraclostrobin gave the best control. It increased yield over other fungicides followed by mancozeb and carbendazim.
