A pot study was conducted in net house condition for management of root knot nematode (Meloidogyne incognita) in tuberose (Polianthes tuberosa) by application of oilcakes, bio-control agents and nematicides at different doses. Oilcakes-neem cake (Azadirachta indica), mustard cake (Brassica rapa) each at two does @ 1 and 1.5 t/ha, bio control agents-Trichoderma viride and Pseudomonas fluorescens each @ 2 and 2.5 kg/ha, carbosulfan 25 EC @ 0.2% and 0.3% as foliar spray, Carbofuran 3G @ 0.75kg and 1.0kg a.i/ha, were used. The result indicated a significant increase in plant growth parameters and decreased nematode infectivity in all the treatments over untreated check at higher doses. Among all the treatments, soil application of carbofuran 3G 1.0 kg a.i/ha was found most effective in increasing plant height (24.0%), fresh shoot weight (68.3%), fresh root weight (24.1%), dry shoot weight (69.3%) and dry root weight (36.6%) with reducing galls/plant (78.3%), Meloidogyne incognita population/5g root (83.0%) and 200cc soil (90.0%) in tuberose over untreated check followed by soil application of neem oil cake @ 1.5 ton/ha, which were statistically at par. From above findings, soil application of neem oil cake @ 1.5 ton/ha can be recommended for eco-friendly management of root knot nematodes in tuberose.
