Abstract

The present study was conducted to identify stable resistant genotype(s) of mung bean against whitefly and jassid under field conditions. The infestation was observed on 35th standard week (SW) in all the genotypes and persisted up to harvesting stage whereas maximum population was seen on 40th SW for both the pests. However, genotype VGG 10–008 was less infested with whitefly (1.84 whitefly/plant) and jassid (1.92 jassid/plant) compared to other tested genotypes. The grain yield also varied significantly among the genotypes and ranged from 818 kg/ha in the genotype VGG 10–008 to 417 kg/ha in KM 2348.
