Abstract

The field trial conducted showed that the favourable temperature for insects pollinator activity was found to be in the early hours of the day. The highest foraging rate was recorded in Apis mellifera (18.25 sec/flower) and least by Hilictus spp. (7.04 sec/flower). In terms of fruit set under bee pollination (54.0%) was significantly higher than open pollination (41.8%) and self pollination (28.0%).
