Abstract

Five endophytic indigenous isolates of Bacillus spp. collected from tomato and chilli were formulated with talc and evaluated at different dosage of 1 to 5 g/plant for the management of nematode fungal disease complex of tomato under glasshouse conditions. All the isolates had effect to check the complex disease involving Meloidogyne incognita and Fusarium oxysporum f.sp. lycopersici and to enhance the first yield of tomato. There was positive correlation between the dosage of talc formulated Bacillus spp. and antinemic/antimicrobial property as well as plant growth promotion. In this regard, the endophyte B. weihenstephanensis (TS B4) is regarded as the most effective isolate among the five isolates.
