A pot culture studies were carried out to explore the effectiveness of liquid formulations of biocontrol agents viz., Purpureocillium lilacinum and Pochonia chlamydosporia alone and in combination with soil application of Trichoderma viride in nursery against root knot nematode infecting brinjal. The experiment for exploring the effectiveness of liquid formulations of bio control agents for management of root knot nematode revealed that, nursery treatment with Trichoderma viride @ 50g/m2 followed by application of vermicompost @ 1 t/ha enriched with Purpureocillium lilacinum @ 10 ml/kg could recorded highest increase of 98.0, 73.2, 88.5, 93.6, 93.8 and 93.4% in plant height, fresh shoot weight, fresh root weight, shoot dry weight, root dry weight and total bio mass over untreated check, respectively with maximum decrease the root galls/plant (92.2%), number of egg masses/plant (94.9%) as well as the final nematode population (83.9%) in soil with lowest root knot index (2.67) followed by nursery treatment with Trichoderma viride @ 50 g/m2 followed by application of vermicompost @ 1 t/ha enriched with Pochonia chlamydosporia @ 10 ml/kg.
Trichoderma viride, Purpureocillium lilacinum, Pochonia chlamydosporia, Meloidogyne incognita, Solanum melongena.
